Rethinking Succession

I.

About us

Gaius Capital is an independent investment firm, founded in 2025 in Berlin by its founding partners Jan Mickel, Joscha Radeck, and Dr. Lukas Klipper, with the goal of supporting entrepreneurs in finding collaborative solutions for business succession. In doing so, we combine innovative solutions with pragmatic execution.

In succession planning, we strive to be part of a partnership-based solution. We accommodate to the individual needs of entrepreneurs and offer a broad range of options – from a swift sale at fair market value to a flexible, value-maximizing process via the Gaius Seller Consortium. Our work is based on deep appreciation for the entrepreneurial achievements of our partners and a strong sense of responsibility in managing the capital entrusted to us with care.

II.

We offer

As investors, we seek majority stakes in well-positioned mid-sized companies within the services sector. We have many years of experience in building corporate groups and offer succession solutions based on partnership values. Our capital comes from institutional investors, family offices, and entrepreneurs who have already successfully navigated their own succession.

Succession situations are always unique. Whether through a direct sale or as a partner in the Gaius Seller Consortium, we tailor our approach to the specific needs of each entrepreneur and develop a custom-made solution. With the Gaius Seller Consortium, we offer an entrepreneurial model that allows our partners to participate in the increased proceeds generated by a larger group sale.

Our ambition is not only to provide capital, but also to open up new perspectives and secure long-term success together. We support our portfolio companies and Seller Consortia by identifying synergy potential, driving operational development, and acting as a trusted partner in strategic decision-making.
